“ If you haven't been to Fast Eddie's Bon Air, you've got to go. Being a Boomer, I prefer to go during the day or for Happy Hour. If you're a younger generation, go in the evenings and enjoy the live music. The cocktails are made well and you will not find a colder draft beer. Better yet, the food is delicious and affordable. Okay, I'll tell it like it really is, it is cheap. You can go and have a fun time on minimal funds. I've never had bad service here. The bartender, servers and food counter workers are all friendly. They make sure you have a good time. So bring your friends and party down. ”

“ Dive bar n restaurant. Cheap food n live music on weekends. Been here for ages. Can get a free shirt if u come on the day of your bday. Plenty of seating. Beef kabobs fire. Chicken ones a bit peppered. Parking on both sides of the building right downtown Alton. Service nice n on point on week days. ”

“ My parents were in town visiting and I thought it would be such a fun day trip to visit fast eddies! It was nice to visit during a weekday so that it was not too crowded. We arrived and found a table to sit at and then our server, Amanda, came over to take our drink orders. Of course, we all ordered a cold beer! My mom and I went up to the counter to place our food order and ordered a bunch of food for the table and then stopped to grab some popcorn on our way back to the table. Waiting for the food didn't take too long and our drinks were delivered pretty quickly as well. The atmosphere was so much fun and I know my mom and dad really enjoyed being there. We hung out for a bit and just enjoyed chatting while earring and drinking. Such a fun time! ”

“ I love that this place is a 21+ place. What I don't like is that it's cash only. They do have an ATM inside. I came here for a group event and felt immense pressure to buy more drinks than I wanted to. The waitress kept coming around asking if I wanted to buy another drink. I didn't really like that especially since at the time I was scaling back on my alcohol and food intake and really just wanted to enjoy the environment. The venue also has live music. I'd been here previous times and can't recall any times where I didn't enjoy the live music. Now to the food! I had The Big Elwood which is my fave. It's well seasoned and grilled to perfection. ”

“ My daughter took me here as we celebrated her 21st together. It was wonderful to have a drink to celebrate her big birthday. Staff was great and the inside was definitely something to remember Cocktails and appetizers were very good and the prices were very good. What a great experience ”

“ This is a fun bar to come to any season! The inside is dark and a bit tight depending where you're sitting. The outside covered patio is huge and has lots of seating. Typically you can find a table. There are fans that mist water around to help make it cooler on a hot day. There's also lots of waitresses walking around outside so you do not need to go up to the bar for all your drinks. The food is also pretty good. You have to wait in line for the food and it's not a big menu but all the food is good. They have burgers and then chicken and steak kabobs as well as a few other items. They give you a number and call out your number when your food is ready. This place is 21+ and cash only so be prepared. ”

“ Date night !! Great parking, great weather, no long lines and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Always a plus! Food was hot , seasoned and fresh to order and like the saying goes ice cold beverages. We ordered shrimp , chick on a stick, pork kabobs, Big Elwood , French fries , ice cold beer and frozen drinks . Miami Vice, Pina Colada, and strawberry daiquiri were my choices of the evening. A time was had , the band Hollywood 5 played and the music was diverse. Something for everybody, the dance floor was lively. The servers were eager to assist and all orders came in a speedy time frame . Bartender was great with consistency of all my drinks . I will definitely be back . ”

“ An Alton classic with a well-deserved reputation. Great food, great prices, cheap beer. What more can you ask for? The large fresh shrimp are my favorite, with a cocktail sauce heavy on the horseradish--just like I love it. Plenty of space makes it perfect for any group, and they regularly have great live music. ”
